Japan Film Shooting Fixer

This map of Japan islands depicts the four main islands of Japan, with Hokkaido in the north and the main island of Honshu where the main population centers of Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka and Kyoto are located. Directly south of the island of Honshu is Shikoku and to the south east is Kyushu which has the major city of Nagasaki. The four largest islands of Japan are sometimes referred to as the “big four islands”.

The Prefectures of Japan (都道府県, Todōfuken) consist of 47 prefectures. They form the first level of jurisdiction and administrative division of Japan. They consist of 43 prefectures (県, ken) proper, two urban prefectures (府, fu, Osaka and Kyoto), one "circuit" or "territory" (道, dō, Hokkaido) and one "metropolis" (都, to, Tokyo).
